Why Highlands Ranch Women Trust Us

Our Highlands Ranch patients often tell us the same story: they've seen multiple providers, received generic advice, and left feeling unheard. At Women's Pelvic Health & Wellness, that changes.

What makes us different:

  • Longer appointments — 45-75 minutes, not 15-minute rushes

  • Personalized treatment — tailored to your body, your goals, your life

  • Trauma-informed care — a safe, judgment-free space where you can speak openly

  • Evidence-based techniques — proven approaches that get results

  • Whole-person focus — we treat the root cause, not just symptoms

Pelvic Floor Therapy Services for Highlands Ranch

Birth Preparation & Prenatal Care

Pregnancy is a transformative time — and it often comes with pain, discomfort, and questions no one seems to answer. Our birth prep program helps Highlands Ranch moms-to-be:

  • Prepare the pelvic floor for labor and delivery

  • Learn effective pushing techniques to reduce tearing

  • Relieve pelvic girdle pain, hip pain, and low back pain

  • Build confidence for birth and postpartum recovery

Postpartum Recovery

Healing doesn't have a timeline. Whether you're weeks or years postpartum, we can help you address:

  • Diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation)

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Urinary incontinence (stress, urge, or mixed)

  • Painful intercourse (dyspareunia)

  • Safe return to running, lifting, and high-impact exercise

Pelvic Pain & Chronic Conditions

Chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, vulvodynia, painful periods — these conditions are isolating and often dismissed. We specialize in helping women who have been told "it's all in your head" or "you just need to relax." You deserve real answers and real relief.

Bladder & Bowel Dysfunction

Leaking when you laugh, cough, or exercise? Constantly searching for the nearest bathroom? Struggling with chronic constipation? These symptoms are common but not normal — and they're treatable. Our occupational therapy approach addresses the underlying dysfunction so you can live freely.

Perimenopause & Menopause Support

Hormonal changes bring shifts in pelvic floor function. We help Highlands Ranch women navigate this season with strength, addressing:

  • Urinary urgency and frequency

  • Stress and urge incontinence

  • Vaginal dryness and painful intercourse

  • Pelvic pressure or heaviness

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. Colorado law allows direct access to occupational therapy without a physician referral.

Do you take insurance?
We are out-of-network providers. We provide detailed superbills that many patients use for partial or full reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. We recommend calling your insurance to verify coverage before your first visit.

How long are sessions?
Initial evaluations are 60-75 minutes. Follow-up sessions are 45-60 minutes. This gives us the time to truly understand your needs and provide individualized care.

What happens during the first appointment?
We'll start with a comprehensive discussion of your medical history, symptoms, and goals. Then we'll perform a physical assessment (always with your consent). You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's happening in your body and a personalized treatment plan.

Is pelvic floor therapy painful?
No. Treatment should never hurt. We work at your pace and always within your comfort level. Communication and consent are central to everything we do.

What if I've tried pelvic floor therapy before and it didn't help?
We hear this often. Many women have had frustrating experiences with generic exercise handouts or rushed appointments. Our approach is different — deeply personalized, evidence-based, and focused on finding the root cause of your symptoms.
